I was born into a family deeply connected to agriculture in Spain and Brazil. Growing up, my grandfather was the cornerstone of my upbringing. He was not only a skilled horseman but also a passionate advocate for wildlife conservation. His love for horses and the natural world gave me a passion for the land and its creatures that shaped who I am.
Living in the United Kingdom, I observed a strong contrast in equestrian culture compared to my South American roots. While both regions shared a love for horses, I felt that something was missing. The South American distinctive style, spirit, and profound connection to the land seemed absent in the British equestrian scene.
Motivated by a deep desire to bridge this cultural gap and share the richness of my heritage with a new audience, I embarked on a journey to create Mangalarga. My vision was to blend the elegance of South American equestrian traditions with the European fashion. Each piece in the Mangalarga collection would not only embody the craftsmanship and artistry of South American culture but also resonate with the modern woman who values strength and sophistication.
Mangalarga garments tell stories infused with the spirit of the pampas. The patterns and materials are carefully curated to reflect the raw beauty and resilience of the South American landscape. Each stitch and fabric choice speaks of a legacy rooted in freedom, authenticity, and the timeless allure of the Gauchos.
My mission is to demonstrate that every piece of clothing matters, has a purpose, and carries a unique energy and message for the wearer. By embracing Mangalarga, women not only embody a sense of elegance and empowerment but also celebrate a cultural heritage that transcends borders and connects people through their shared love for horses and the land.
In every design, there is a narrative that honours the past, embraces the present, and inspires the future. Mangalarga is more than a brand; it is my tribute to the enduring spirit of the Gauchos and a celebration of the strength and grace that defines women everywhere.
